Season 1974
  • BHSNA formed Executive members from our club: President: Pam Noble Vice President: Sally Johnston, Secretary: Annette Jerome, Umpires Convenor: Lorraine Everitt 

  • Club delegates elected were: Ella Gibbs & June Willard 

  • The first BHSNA completion was a Night Comp held at Ted Horwood courts & we had 16 club teams competing 

  • The St Columbas Netball Club was formed by Annette Jerome with some of our players who attended that church

Season 1972
  • A meeting held & a Steering Committee elected to pursue the formation of a Netball Association within the Baulkham Hills Shire.

1970s
  • Women’s Basketball was changed in Australia to Netball & our club then became Baulkham Hills Netball Division. 

  • Our club received a letter from council seeking advice if we wanted our courts at Ted Horwood to be asphalt or turf. The club chose turf !!!! 

  • Council approved lighting for our courts 

  • Inception of the weekly newsletter aptly called the “Netball Post” 

  • Michelle Eldred selected for the NSW Team

Season 1969
  • Registered with the Blacktown Association & all competition games played there.

  • 5 club players selected into Blacktown Representative Teams 

  • A new oval built at Junction Road & club sought permission to have the grounds for a Basketball area but this was denied 

  • The Baulkham Hills Cricket & Recreational Club changed its name to The Baulkham Hills Sporting Club

1960s
  • 8 July 1966: Club formed by women from the Baulkham Hills Cricket Division & was known as Baulkham Hills Ladies Basketball Division 

  • Competition games played in the Eastwood Ryde Association 

  • A decision was made to name all of the teams after the streets in Baulkham Hills. This tradition has carried on & the teams continue to be named in this manner.

  • Training courts at Ted Horwood were all grass & had to be maintained by club members every week 

  • Additional 3 courts were added after club members cleared the ground

Season 1981
  • We had 42 club teams: 22 Junior , 2 Cadet & 18 Senior Teams 

  • 13 players selected into BHSNA Rep teams including Melissa Goodwin, Debbie Reeves, Chris Prestwidge, Natalie Glanville & Karen Berry 

  • First BHSNA U/21yrs Inter District Team with club players selected : Rae Gazzard, Elizabeth Orrock, Rebecca Glanville, Jillian Chapman & Karen Berry. 

  • The BHSNA competition had to be held at 3 different venues due to overcrowding at Gooden Drive. 

  • The venues were Gooden Drive (12 courts), Ted Horwood (7 courts) & Don Moore Reserve, North Rocks (6 courts). This was a logistical nightmare for clubs to organise players & umpires.

Season 1979
  • For the first time in 7 years our club won the George Mobbs Trophy in the Orange Blossom Netball Carnival 

  • 7 Teams were Premiers & 6 teams were Runners Up 

  • 25 players selected into BHSNA Rep Teams including: Karen Berry, Melissa Goodwin, Simonne Everitt, Natalie Glanville & Debbie Reeves. 

  • Ongoing problem at the Gooden Drive Netball Complex with complaints from neighbours & lack of parking. The BHSNA is outgrowing the area 

  • Karen Berry was selected into the NSW Schoolgirls Team 

  • Captain of the Year Trophy – Cheryl Wright 

  • Sportsgirl of the Year Trophy – Jenny Moffitt 

  • Club Girl of the Year - Karen Scanlon

Season 1978
  • Val Berry elected Secretary of the club 

  • 4 Teams were Premiers & 12 Teams were Runners Up 

  • 14 players selected for Representative teams 

  • Karen Berry was awarded the BHSNA Most Outstanding Umpire trophy 

  • Club Sportsgirl of the Year - Lynne Thorne 

  • Club Girl of the Year - Jenny Moffitt

Season 1977
  • 12 teams reached the Grand Finals with 8 becoming Premiers 

  • Debbie Reeves (now Newell) received her 10 year Service Award 

  • 8 players selected for Representative teams Including Karen Berry 

  • Captain of the Year Trophy – Val Berry 

  • Club Girl of the Year - Karen Berry

Season 1976
  • The club changed its uniform from box pleats to an A Line gored skimmer 

  • Club Girl of the Year - Donna Scanlon

Season 1975
  • Our club had 15 teams still competing in the Blacktown Association & 18 teams competing in the BHSNA competition. 

  • Our first Rep players selected for the Blacktown Rep Team: Jane Ashcroft, Kerrie Craine, Ingrid Nussbaumer, Kelly Packer & Karen Scanlon 

  • Club coaches selected for BHSNA Rep Teams: Jacqueline Noble & Pat Craine 

  • 10 teams reached the Grand Finals with 5 teams becoming Premiers 

  • Val Berry obtained her NSW “C” Grade Umpiring Badge 

  • 8 players selected for Blacktown Representative Teams 

  • Club Girl of the Year - Lorraine Everitt

Season 1983
  • 10 Year Service Award Badges included Val Berry, Margaret Harris & Karen Berry 

  • Sally Newton obtained her NSW National “C” Umpiring Badge 

  • Susan Leard won the Orange Blossom Princess, this was the second year running that girls from our club had won this event 

  • The first Life Memberships of our club were awarded to Val Berry & Bill Brown 

  • The A1 Lindsays Team had won 5 consecutive Premierships 

  • Club Junior Sportsgirl of the Year - Sally Newton

Season 1982
  • Val Berry elected as President 

  • Club umpires were sponsored by Hills Sporting World & supplied with tracksuits. 

  • BHSNA Most Outstanding Junior Umpire Trophy – Melissa Goodwin 

  • Club Junior Sportsgirl of the Year - Melissa Goodwin

Season 1988
  • Ted Newton awarded Life Membership of our Club 

  • BHSNA appointed a Management Committee to act on its behalf & take control of the development of the new Netball Complex at Kellyville. Ted Newton was a member of this committee. 

  • 40 Club Teams including 1 Mens Team: Premiers & 7 Runners Up 

  • NSW National “C” Umpiring Badge:  Reece Murdoch 

  • 12 BHSNA Representative & State league Players 

  • A Forward Planning Committee elected to investigate acquiring a larger netball Complex within the Baulkham Hills Shire. 

  • Debbie Newell (nee Reeves) obtained her 20 Year Service Award 

  • Karen Berry awarded the BHSNA 10 year Consecutive Representative Player award. 

  • Cheryl Wright awarded Life Membership of our Club 

Season 1985
  • 6 Teams were Premiers & 8 Teams as Runners Up 

  • Our club had 43 Teams, 26 Junior & 17 Senior 

  • BHSNA first State League Team had club players: K.Berry, K.Tipping, N.Cripps, T.Leach, A.McKinnon, R.Gazzard, M.Monda & R.Newton 

  • Dianne Vanderzant obtained her NSW National “C” Grade Umpiring Badge 

  • The first Men’s Netball Competition held at a Night Comp Ted Horwood 

  • A Men’s BHSNA Rep Team was selected to play against the NSW State B Team in a curtain raiser to the NSW State Team v New Zealand. Bruce Linke was selected into this team 

  • An additional 6 grass courts were constructed at Gooden Drive so that the BHSNA competition could revert back to one venue 

  • Club Senior Sportsgirl of the Year - Jill Smith

Season 1984
  • Diann Newton was elected as Secretary 

  • 4 Teams were Premiers & 3 Runners Up 

  • 7 players selected for BHSNA Representative Teams & 6 players selected for the Inter District Team 

  • December 2005 the 13A Girralongs Team competed in the South Pacific Netball Championships in Fiji & were the undefeated winners of their division, Emily Goodsir was named the Player of the Tournament 

  • 27 Club Teams: 2 Premiers & 3 Runners Up 

  • 18 Junior & 8 Senior players selected into BHSNA Representative Teams plus 3 Coaches & 1 assistant Coach selected from our club. 

  • 20 Year Service Award: Simonne Dallaway & Cheryl Lees 

  • Samantha May selected into the Sydney Swifts Team, NSW U/19 yrs Team & the Australian U/19yrs Talent Identification Team 

  • Club Girl of the Year - Emma Cowley 

  • Club Person of the Year - Erin McCluskey 

  • Junior Sportsperson - Samantha Glover 

  • Senior Sportsperson - Jodi Adams
