A meeting held & a Steering Committee elected to pursue the formation of a Netball Association within the Baulkham Hills Shire.

Women’s Basketball was changed in Australia to Netball & our club then became Baulkham Hills Netball Division.

Our club received a letter from council seeking advice if we wanted our courts at Ted Horwood to be asphalt or turf. The club chose turf !!!!

A new oval built at Junction Road & club sought permission to have the grounds for a Basketball area but this was denied

The Baulkham Hills Cricket & Recreational Club changed its name to The Baulkham Hills Sporting Club

8 July 1966: Club formed by women from the Baulkham Hills Cricket Division & was known as Baulkham Hills Ladies Basketball Division

Competition games played in the Eastwood Ryde Association
-
A decision was made to name all of the teams after the streets in Baulkham Hills. This tradition has carried on & the teams continue to be named in this manner.

Training courts at Ted Horwood were all grass & had to be maintained by club members every week
-
Additional 3 courts were added after club members cleared the ground
Season 1981

We had 42 club teams: 22 Junior , 2 Cadet & 18 Senior Teams

13 players selected into BHSNA Rep teams including Melissa Goodwin, Debbie Reeves, Chris Prestwidge, Natalie Glanville & Karen Berry

First BHSNA U/21yrs Inter District Team with club players selected : Rae Gazzard, Elizabeth Orrock, Rebecca Glanville, Jillian Chapman & Karen Berry.

The BHSNA competition had to be held at 3 different venues due to overcrowding at Gooden Drive.
-
The venues were Gooden Drive (12 courts), Ted Horwood (7 courts) & Don Moore Reserve, North Rocks (6 courts). This was a logistical nightmare for clubs to organise players & umpires.

For the first time in 7 years our club won the George Mobbs Trophy in the Orange Blossom Netball Carnival

7 Teams were Premiers & 6 teams were Runners Up
